Women Empowerment Cell 'Bharathi'

BES College has established the Women Empowerment Cell “BHARATHI”. It is an institutional body aimed at fostering an inclusive and equitable environment for female students, faculty, and staff. The cell works to promote gender equality, address issues faced by women, and ensure their active participation in all aspects of college life. It serves as a platform for women to voice their concerns, seek guidance, and find support in a safe and encouraging setting.

Overview and objectives:

  • Promote Gender Equality: Ensure equal opportunities for women in academic, co- curricular, and extracurricular activities, fostering an environment where they can thrive.
  • Support and Guidance: Provide counselling and mentorship to female students, helping them navigate personal and professional challenges.
  • Awareness and Education: Organize workshops, seminars, guest lectures, and campaigns to raise awareness about women’s rights, health, safety, and legal issues.
  • Skill Development: Offer training programmes to enhance skills such as leadership, communication, and entrepreneurship, empowering women to achieve their full potential.
  • Safety and Security: Implement measures to ensure women’s safety on campus, including anti-harassment policies, and a dedicated grievance redressal system.
  • Advocacy and Outreach: Collaborate with external organizations and communities to advocate for women’s health and rights and contribute to broader societal change.
